My Bailey Van - Design your own caravan Your chance to design your own caravan The Caravan Club
Design Brief

Entries should satisfy the touring holiday needs of a typical caravanning couple or family.

All entries must be based on an existing Ranger, Pageant and Senator body shell. Templates have been included on this site to provide guidelines on caravan dimensions. For full product information please refer to the Bailey product brochure which can be found at @www.bailey-caravans.co.uk.

Entries should feature all the services currently available in a touring caravan (230v/12v power, gas, fresh and grey water).

Consideration should be given to designs that are both towable and inherently stable. For more information on caravan stability please refer to the following website which show cases the work carried out by the University of Bath on this subject @www.towingstabilitystudies.co.uk.

Notes

The winning design may need to modified to ensure it receives National Caravan Council certification in accordance with current European health and safety regulations.

The choice of materials used in the production of the winning entry will be determined by what is currently commercially available from Bailey's existing Supplier base.

Feedback from all entries will be analysed and published in the Competition Results section of this web site later this year.

NCCAll Bailey models have been certified by the National Caravan Council for compliance with stringent European Standards, British Legislation and industry set Codes of Practice specifically relating to health and safety issues. The approval process covers the testing and inspection of critical areas of the product from fire safety, weights and dimensions, to gas, electrics and ventilation.

Every Bailey caravan carries the "NCC Approved Caravan" badge. The NCC also conduct unannounced inspections at the Bailey factory to ensure continued compliance. NCC Approval gives you peace of mind that your caravan is legal and safe.
